The slots to get the vaccine, however, filled just minutes after they became available.
Sign up for our NewslettersKOCO 5 received calls, emails and Facebook messages all day from people who weren’t able to sign up. We also spoke with people who tried signing up when the slots became available at 9 a.m., and they’re upset.
The Oklahoma City-County Health Department and other county health departments have had to issue their own sign-ups and move on to stage two of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan because they’re waiting for the Oklahoma State Department of Health to launch its app.
Because the spots to get the vaccine from the Oklahoma City-County Health Department were filled within minutes, people have to wait even longer to get the vaccine.
“Less than two minutes. Two minutes, it was full. Every slot,” Tami Lee said.
It’s a complaint KOCO 5 has heard all day.
“And I type over 150 words a minute. This is what I do for a living. So I wasn’t jacking around,” Lee said.
Residents in Oklahoma County were frustrated by how quick the time slots for vaccine appointments filled up, even for those who started the process before 9 a.m.
“Continually started reloaded from 8:55 so that as soon as that opened up for available appointments, I’d be able to, hopefully, jump right into a slot,” Miranda Gardner said.
Gardner said she was trying to get her husband’s grandparents signed up.
“Went to save it, and this appointment has been taken. Saved, please try another. When I exited out, immediately I could see almost all appointments were taken. This was 9:01,” Gardner said. “To know that we’re this close to something that could put us back on the track to normalcy and resuming those family relationships and holidays and birthdays and all those things we want to do – and to think I’m doing everything right and planning and having all my information – and then boom, it’s rejected. It’s awful, and I know the opportunity will be there later, but it’s extremely frustrating.”
Oklahoma City-County Health Department officials said they launched their sign-up page as a plan B while they wait for the state health department’s app. They also said they were surprised by how fast the slots filled up – and more than 1,000 people were signed up to get the vaccine on Thursday.
“We had just had a lot of people excited to get the vaccine, so it went really quickly,” said Molly Fleming, with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department. “We know that’s only a small portion of the people who are 65 and older, but at least it’s a step. We can only vaccinate based on vaccination availability. We obviously can’t vaccinate people if we don’t have the vaccine. So when we get more vaccine, then we’ll have more clinics and open it up to more people, but that number and that planning happens week per week.”

Although the name is almost meaningless by now, LG’s Gram laptops have always been advertised their extremely thin and lightweight profiles. Even the largest 17-inch model weighs only 1.35 kg (2.98 lbs) and 17.8 mm (0.70 in) thick. On the other extreme, the lightest model does just stands at 999 grams.
The main attraction this year, however, is the upgrade from q 16:9 screen aspect ratio to 16:10. This means it can display more content, especially vertically, but the expansion also has benefits in the laptops’ overall design. LG boasts that the four-sided super-slim bezels not only improve the immersive viewing experience but also make more room for larger keyboards and touchpads. The slightly increased space also resulted in larger keyboards and touchpads for more comfortable use.
All five LG Gram 2021 laptops boast the latest 11th-gen Intel Core processors and Iris Xe Graphics. For all that power, you will be limited to 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR4x memory, though, and M.2 Dual NVMe SSD slots for storage. Save for the two 14-inch models, the LG Gram laptops come with 80Wh batteries.

LG Gram 2021 lineup also welcomes a new size option while it bids farewell to the 15-inch LG Gram. Available for both the conventional laptop design and the 2-in-1 convertible, the new LG Gram 16 slots in between the 17-inch and 14-inch sizes. As before, the LG Gram 2-in-1 series comes with a Wacom AES stylus pen. Availability for these notebooks has not yet been announced.
