Per Bottle: $59.99; Per case of 6: $359.94: Producer: Casina Bric: Vintage: 2014: Production Area: The vineyards are located in the highest part of the Barolo growing area, enjoying a cool, ventilated climate. Our Barolo Casina Bric has a perfect balance of class, elegance and vintage expression. The blend of our vineyards from the Barolo villages creates a delicate style of wine, even for the sensitive palate, but without compromise. Barolo Casina Bric, and expression of the Nebbiolo variety, its terroir and tradition. This Barolo represents tradition and fortitude with no easy compromises. The result is a skilful blend of wines grown on several vineyards in the villages of Barolo and La Morra, with soils and aspects which are able to give of their very best when combined. Given that Gianluca is from Vergne it’s only logical and re-assuring that his single vineyard Barolo should come from the village’s top vineyard: Bricco delle Viole; the fruit coming from his second, west-facing parcel at close to 460 meters above sea level, up above and behind the garage-like cantina/winery. Less complex, perhaps without the addition of other vineyards, it makes up for it. Casina Bric or 'perched farm' in the local Piedmontese dialect, is the highest property of the famous village of Barolo, more precisely in the hamlet of Vergne in Italy.

As in all the best adventures, the protagonist surprises us on tiptoe at the key moment, conquering hearts, overcoming hardships, and enchanting everything he touches

Additional notes:
A story, a project of the territory and its vineyards, and the work that Gianluca Viberti has cultivated since he attended the Scuola Enologica in Alba. Today the project comes to fruition, offering to all lovers of Nebbiolo and sparkling wine a line of two Spumanti - Rosé Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC - made by two methods of sparkling wine production: the Metodo Classico for the vintage Brut Nature where elegance, richness, and year leave their mark; and the long Martinotti Prêt-à-Porter where freshness, fruit and drinkability exceed the austerity of Nebbiolo. Both are part of the original 'Origo-Ginis' project from the Latin 'Origo-Originis' 'with reference to writings, works of art or other productions that are at the hands of the author, as opposed to what is a copy of it' (cit. Treccani)'

The fresh, fragrant, almost crisp Nebbiolo sparkling wine takes to the stage as if in a romantic comedy, its bubbles dancing with joie-de-vivre in an elegant setting of antique pink.

Delicate antique pink color, with a fine, lingering perlage and a floral nose reminiscent of wild roses and showing fruit hinting at peach blossom. Fresh and soft on the mouth, with the considerable complexity that is typical of the varietal at the same time. Nebbiolo’s drinkability and verve unquestionably make this a unique bubbly. Perfect as an aperitif, a great match for fish-based dishes, and ideal for serving too throughout a meal, especially in summer.
